Current CNT News
It is with immense appreciation for her 5 years of dedicated service to Thetford that we are letting you all know that Cindy Grigel, our Community Nurse, will retire as of April 1, 2021. Cindy has made real the vision we had 6 years ago for a community nurse in our town. She has become a trusted and tireless source of support and information for seniors and others experiencing long term challenges that come with aging, care giving, recuperating from surgery or illness, this pandemic, and more. Cindy has also been a pleasure for our Board to work with and a friend to so many. Cindy has graciously agreed to share her experience and knowledge with her successor by being available during the transition period.
We are beginning a search for a new nurse to begin work in late winter or early spring, and we do not anticipate any gap in services.
January 13, 2020:
Sarah Jo Brown, our founding member and Board Director, has served CNT as a visionary leader for the past 5 years, from the planning stages to our fourth year anniversary of providing services to Thetford residents. She stepped down from the CNT Board in January 2020 but will remain active on the Upper Valley Community Nursing Board. We thank her for her leadership as our director and wish her well!
The CNT Board of Directors welcomes Betsy Johnstone, RN, of Thetford Center, to our board. We are thrilled to have her join us and add her expertise in all aspects of adult health care and home health care. She was a visiting nurse for many years before joining the DHMC Lyme Clinic. Although she has officially retired from the Lyme Clinic, she will still have a presence working on Medicare grant projects
